What was the minimum amount of shooters needed? There looks like 18 were signed up. A heads up in the future of ..."hey we have x number of open seats...." would have been nice. I saw nothing on Calguns, BARFCOM in the CA section or the Hide. Hell I am a local here in SD county maybe some flyers at Pala or other ranges. Hell contacting local shops like Paralax Tactical could have helped out a lot. Hell I would have signed up for this but this was the first I heard about this match.

I agree with Nathan, come on out and shoot more with us. I do remember you guys from one of the caprc monthly, you were all pretty cool.
Another thing that might help is to run at least a couple of monthly matches a year, that might also give us a taste of what you guys are all about.

I realize you guys are where you are, but I think that was another issue... shooting a run and gun match in the Cochella Valley in the historically hottest month of the year (average of 108 degree's) was my reason for not participating.... Also, you posted up the match, and then disappeared. I realize that you were busy, but that also scared people away.....
Anyway, I got the email about SCPRC.... Will see how that goes.
Keep trying and don't be strangers.....

You guys did show up at our local match, but I got the impression you guys were only there to see how things were done. I didn't really see any effort to reach out to shooters to let them know who and what you guys are about. Ares appeared around April and faded by May.Ares Armor wrote:We thank you for your best wishes. It's weird that you say hang out at local matches and what not... We have. We have shot in the monthly up at Angeles, we have shot at SCPRC, TPRC, TBRC, SHC... And so on... And sure 250 is high but that right around what TPRC was... We had no intention of profitin from this, simply provide the best experience Possible. Meaning all inclusive, free shirts, trophies, coins, lunch both days, zombie targets, multiple stages with barricades and obstacles, vehicles. As you all know to put on a match of this magnitude cost money. I personally spent months gaining support and prizes from companies such as MGM, ashbury intl., nemo arms inc, hornady, USO, Vortex, and tons of others. We had support and help from Vu and Mark. We planned on a match like no other encompassing multiple styles of shooting. I am not blaming local shooters, I'm stating that without shooters there is no match. Hopefully if we choose to run a comp in the future we can get more partipants.
Have an open house. Show the community who you guys are. I'm sure you guy are great to hang and shoot with. Most people here only know you from what the have read on CALGUNS.
This is just my observation. Please do not take it the wrong way.

We may attempt a match like this again in te future... But we will probably bring someone in who everyone knows as "match director" to get the partipants we need. As for score keepers and spotters... That was taken care of, we had support from California grizzlies pres and also a scout sniper platoon from Pendleton. Much thought and advise was thought for this fellas. We did not want a shit show but rather something that would be like never seen before and sought after for years to come. But who knows maybe in the future. Thanks again for all of your guys input.

All very valid points, and i wish we had more time to hang out with you guys at your monthly matches but we are doing 1-2 major competitions per month such as all the competition dynamics comps, the vortex extreme, vegas, utah state sniper, SCPRC, TPRC, etc.. then add that to us traveling around putting on training courses in montana, utah, new mexico, new hampshire and we have a super full plate on top of trying to also run our classes here in Cali. You havent seen us on Calguns cause frankly we dont want to deal with the drama of calguns. We did post on the Hide, after the event went live, you are correct we did not appear much on the forums as most of our communication was done via email. we came to the CAPRC monthly to hang out and get a feel for the people, it wasnt until after that we wanted to run our own comp, and that desire has just compounded with every comp that we go to and come up with new ideas. as for a monthly match of course we would love to, but first question is when? seems like most weekends througout the month are taken by comps already. and then their is the Heat which i hear many of you complaining about. Unfortunately we cannot control the heat or the wind. there is plenty of both out there. but we have shade, water, and kestrels. like i said earlier we may try again in the future for a monthly match or something bigger but we have also been looking into partnering with different companies to put on a precision sniper challenge. Something that challenges both physically and mentally. something that requires skill in not only shooting but land navigation, problem solving, endurance, and heart. but that is just a thought right now although deliberate dynamics, arcteryx and nemo arms have stated they have an extreme interest in putting something on like that. so maybe it will happen sooner than later. and last thing, our apologies for not keeping up on the forums, its not easy to keep everything up dated and priority. the entire month of july we were out of state, training, competing, or putting on clinics.
