The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce their next centerfire match will be Sunday March 25th at the Angeles Ranges.

Signups start at 7:00am and shooting should start at 8:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 7:30am to sign-in and get assigned your shooter numbers.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.

Match fee is $20 for Caprc members or $30 for non members.
You can renew your membership at the match, just bring a recent NRA magazine cover with address label.
The match fee also includes use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually finish by 1pm.
Bring 70 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.
Bring a backpack to shoot off of for stages that don't allow a bipod.



This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory and are available from the club if needed.



Line helper RSVP's will be accepted anytime.
Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12noon Monday 3/19.
Non-member RSVP's will be accepted after 12noon Tuesday 3/20.

Please RSVP by posting "I am in" or "I will be there" as we will ignore "maybe" or "if" RSVP's.
If you RSVP and later figure out that you can't come, please post that as well so we can keep the RSVP list current.

Adam to actually sign up for the match you need to read the thread carefully and follow the posting instructions. You can sign up next Tuesday.

That was added because there use to be to many people shooting the monthly. Not so much anymore. Its also not posted how many can sign up so I would either add that or get rid of the sign up time.

Its more of an issue of people saying they will shoot the match weeks ahead when they really don't know their schedule, then have to cancel later. Or forget to cancel and we end up printing way too many targets and waste money. By the monday before a match, hopefully most people have a firm idea if they can make the match that weekend. We reserve 12 benches, have run 3 squads before so 36 shooters is possible. I think something like 25 shooters is the biggest match I have seen.

Well I’m ready! Took the 308 out tonight to Zero and I am good to go! After the break that Randal installed and the Timney trigger that I got from Nathan my 5R is a totally different beast! I am excited to shoot my first match!

Don't worry folks... I usually come in last, and I have been shooting these matches for almost 2 years.... Everybody will do fine. Just come out and have fun.

Ok. Member sign ups today. I would like to get 3-4 helpers for this match to spot if I can so that we can do the steel stages 2 at a time. Eddie are you available Saturday just before closing to help put out steel. I will need to leave work early so there is a chance that I will not be able to make it. I will call you.

Also. I would like to up the round count to 75 in case there are some re-shoots.

And bring a calculator as there is one stage where you might want it.

Ok I have 11 shooters if I counted correctly. Randall, I am going to adjust the par times on a couple of stages, so I will email the updated COF to you probably tonight. Am trying to get off work early so I can get the steel set up the night before, but if not, we have enough people to set it out in the morning.

Will see everybody on Sunday.... Also if there is anybody else that wants to sign up, you can until Saturday morning. Randall usually prints the targets out the night before...
